Anxiously awaiting Android 1.5

Rumor has it that the Android 1.5 update should be surfacing any day now.  I'm dying to get my hands on it.  I don't know why, but I can't get the emulator to work on my system.  So I haven't even caught a glimpse of 1.5 yet.

There are many, significant changes rumored to be included in the update, which is supposed to go out over the air sometime around the end of April, beginning of May.  Included in those changes is an onscreen keyboard, and possible Bluetooth support for something more than just connecting with your Bluetooth headset.

I can't wait.  I'll update you as soon as I get the update.  And if you happen to see it, please share with us.  Thanks!

Contest Goes Bust

Well, it turns out that no one was interested in the Google topic contest.  So, I guess I've got an extra $25 to spend at Amazon.com.  Anyone have any recommendations for what I should pick up?

Contest Redux -- One Incorrect Letter Screws Everything

I couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting any responses on the Google contest that I announced last week. Um...could be because I'm not the smartest cookie on the planet! I'm sorry, folks. I posted the wrong email address for the contest.

Sooo...Let's try this again. Here are the detials, new deadlines (and the correct email address!) included:

Tell me What Google application you would like to learn more about? by sending me a SINGLE Google application title, along with three points describing what you would like to know about that application and why you think others would be interested in it. I'll read all submissions and choose ONE submission as the grand prize winner.

-Submissions will be judged on originality (NOT obscurity).
-Bonus points for coming up with a catchy title that starts with "The Web Geek's Guide..."
-You can submit multiple ideas, however, each one needs to come to me as a separate email.
-Email submission to WebGeeksGuide (at) gmail (dot) com.
-All submissions must be received before 12:00 AM CT April 3, 2009.
-There is no guarantee or promise made that the winning idea or title will be used.

For your efforts:

The most original submission--funnest, most interesting--will win a $25 Amazon.com gift certificate. Winner will be chosen and announced on the Google Geek web site before noon on April 6, 2009.

If you have any questions about the contest rules, please post them here so that everyone can see the answers.

Ultimately, lets just have fun with it.
